About
USEU: The Unión Salvadoreña de Estudiantes Universitarios (USEU) was a transnational Salvadoran student-led organization with ideological roots in El Salvador that flourished in California from 2006-2016. USEU reached approximately 13 California universities and colleges from San Francisco to San Diego. It deeply transformed the lives of hundreds, possibly thousands, of Salvadoran and Central American diasporic university students.
Archive: This online archive is a work-in-progress. The goal is for this website to serve as an online repository that will host USEU’s historical ephemera. This includes organizational documents, chapter bylaws, guiding principles, original publications of Nueva Sintesis (USEU’s weekly newsletter), student poetry, research papers, presentations, publications, documentaries, galleries, videos, photos, and much more.
Primary Researcher: Jennifer A. Cárcamo is a PhD Candidate in the UCLA History Department, as well as a Visiting Scholar at Rutgers University’s Center for Latin American Studies.
